Ceremony may be self-derived, it may come from vision, it may be given by a teacher, it may be cultural. But from all sources, it has the same underlying root. It is a process in which the human capacity for sacred feeling and reverence is given form and expression.
— Stephen Harrod Buhner

Theobroma cacao, translated to Food of the Gods, is a superfood that is loaded with antioxidants, an excellent source of vitamins and minerals, and a protector of the heart. It is known to offer a revitalizing and uplifting energy that supports the expansion of the physical, mental, and spiritual bodies. The cacao we will enjoy is sourced from Ecuadorian 5000+-year-old heirloom trees grown and handled with respect and love.
In this session, Joshua will lead us through intention-setting and grounding practices to give ourselves permission to pause and fully arrive. Then, he will introduce cacao with songs, prayers, and an informative talk on its scientific and energetic benefits. After we take our first sip together, we'll open the space for storytelling, vulnerable sharing, reflections, contemplations, celebrations, and compassionate listening followed by a relaxed and meditative soundscape to integrate our discussions. We will conclude with a unified space for sharing our experiences.

Investment: $45

Meet Josh Maurer

Joshua is a dedicated student walking the path of the awakening heart, driven by a curious exploration of consciousness and holistic well-being.

Over the past 5 years with over 500 hours of studies and committed practice, Joshua worked with and received guidance under world-renowned sound researcher and ethnomusicologist, Alexandre Tennous, and other facilitators, professors, and doctors from around the globe studying the effects sound has on the brain and body.

His sound meditations begin with conversations around sound, spirituality, and consciousness, followed by breathing exercises, guided visualizations, and vocalization. Central to this practice is a soundscape consisting of instruments such as gong, singing bowls, chimes, and other overtone emitting instruments that lead us through a potentially deep and immersive experience of Self.

Joshua cherishes the power of community, where collective wisdom and support nurture personal and communal growth. His approach is grounded in creating inclusive spaces where individuals can connect deeply and authentically to their innermost heart.
