3:30 - 6 PM

This superb workshop will awaken you to the beauty within! This one is for Intermediate to advanced level dancers.

A Megance is a musical composition created specifically for the dancer to make her grand entrance. In this Oriental/Egyptian style piece, we will learn how to make a powerful, yet graceful entrance using a silk veil. Veils must be silk for “flow and timing”. This workshop is designed for intermediate/advanced level belly dancers who would like to improve their stage entrance and performance skills. Music and choreography will be included.

**We will be dancing on carpet, so feel free to wear socks, slippers, or non-rubberized bottom shoes. You may also dance in your bare feet for grounding ;)**

Investment: $25. We are limiting this workshop to 12 students!

Meet June
June T. Minaya (stage name “Queen Minaya”) is a local artist and dance instructor in the Mechanicsburg & New Cumberland areas. She has been teaching beginner and intermediate level belly dance for 4 years. She began her journey with belly dance in 2010, and over the years, has come to specialize in Folkloric/Traditional Middle Eastern dance, as well as newer forms of theatrical/fusion styles of belly dance. After performing with several troupes and taking classes & workshops with master instructors, she has come to find that her focus, dedication, and joy comes out when she teaches others to dance. She especially enjoys bringing her artful visions to life through her students with her original choreography. “ I love introducing belly dance to beginners, it’s magical to see someone come out of their shell and shine..”
