2:00 - 5:30 PM
You are invited to an exploration and celebration of the diversity, beauty, symbolism, and power of trees. During this workshop, we will discuss and honor the ways that trees inspire, heal, guide, nourish, and otherwise support us. Participants will have opportunities to explore links between tree characteristics, cultural traditions, and metaphysical properties. We are coming together to enhance our awareness, do energy and Shamanic work, and learn from ecological and anthropological bodies of knowledge.
Activities will include:
Sharing circles
Demonstrations of methods
Experiential exercises
Explore what is possible through working with trees
Discuss a variety of ways of communicating, communing, and developing relationships with these potential nature allies
Once participants are in touch with the possibilities and have some techniques to use, we will walk to a nearby park and interact with the sacred trees that grow there
During our walk, we will have opportunities to connect with specific trees through observations, conversation, energy exchange, meditation, and other techniques
We may sit quietly with, give offerings to, drum for, journey with, sing to, and/or hug the trees depending on how they wish to interact with us.
Since a portion of the workshop will be outdoors, dressing appropriately for the weather is recommended.
Investment: Early Bird by 11/7 $30. After $40. Drop in check or check please.
Bring: your journal. Some materials for taking notes and making sketches will be provided.
This workshop is a chance to get familiar with characteristics and habitats of tree species as well as an opportunity to engage with individual trees on a spiritual level. Each celebrant will have chances to work with a variety of tree species. We reach to the sky and root in the earth with sacred trees. All backgrounds and walks of life are welcome.
